While it's the most expensive one, it comes standard with equipment from the Performance package that we'd add to the cheaper model anyway. With that said, we think the tS model represents the best of the BRZ lineup. While base models cost about the same as a Miata, the BRZ separates itself from more expensive versions of the Mazda RF that features a retractable hardtop. ![]() The BRZ might not be the quickest or quietest sports coupe, but few cars provide this much fun for the money. Toyota also has confirmed that a second generation of the 86 and BRZ is happening. The biggest news is that the specially tuned tS returns to the roster after skipping the 2019 model year. Subaru doesn't make any significant changes to the BRZ for this year. While the 2020 BRZ has to compete with excellent alternatives such as the Mazda Miata, the Subaru's roomier interior and extra cargo capacity increase its appeal as a daily driver. ![]() Sure, the BRZ could use a stronger dose of horsepower and torque, but its precise handling and steady feedback place it among the purest driver's cars on the market. While its diminutive back seat is better left unused, the space expands for carrying cargo when it's folded flat. The lightweight rear-drive coupe-which shares much with the Toyota 86-is not only fun to drive but also fairly practical. Most modern sports cars have become overly complex, but the BRZ offers a reprieve thanks to its authentic driving experience. ![]()
